is changing,

My idea of love

is collapsing.

Colour me

You’re an inkpot

I want to dip in you

for colour

How a pen’s tip

can spill

onto a blank sheet

when filled with ink

and still look beautiful.

I just want a drop of you.

And I’m not even blank.

Lips, eyes and lies

Something amiss, something astray.

When I look, you look away

because your lips are lies

but the truth afloat in your eyes.

Your lips want to keep it casual

Your eyes crave attention

Your lips want my tongue

Your eyes, my words.

But you don’t want to fall.

So you shut my mouth

And you shut your eyes.
